The client came in with no small talk. One message – full profile: name, date of birth, Dutch citizenship, place of birth, height, hair and eye colour. Then a photo, and his signature as a separate PNG. He clarified one thing only: both sides needed.

THE SECOND ATTEMPT ISN'T JUDGED FROM SCRATCH
A rejected file doesn't vanish. The image hash, device fingerprint, IP, submission time and form fields all stay in the profile, waiting.
Re-uploading the same photo in slightly better quality is the worst possible move. New hash, identical frame geometry, sensor noise and capture settings. The system sees a repeat and reacts harder than the first time.
The second rejection lands faster and usually without review. The third closes the door for months, sometimes for good.
A correct second attempt means a different file, a different shoot, a cleaned environment and a pause. Not cosmetics – a full rebuild.

FIVE ATTEMPTS IN AN HOUR KILL AN ACCOUNT FASTER THAN A BAD FILE
Every upload is logged with a precise timestamp. The system scores not just file quality, but the frequency of your actions.
Three or four submissions inside a short window raise a suspicion score on their own. The reasoning is simple: after a rejection a real person investigates, reshoots, looks for another document. That takes hours, not minutes. A burst within ten minutes looks like brute-forcing options.
Then rate limiting engages. Uploads are technically accepted but routed to auto-rejection without review. You can fire perfect files into the void and never understand why nothing changes.
